Recognised Scottish Charity No. SC 030367

WestGAP thanks George for generously donating his time and skills to renewing our paintwork and signage.
WestGAP supports people in surviving poverty, and challenges the systems that put people in poverty
in the first place
and which keep them/us there.
We do this in a variety of ways :
We raise awareness and campaign on issues that matter to people living in poverty.
We offer anti-poverty awareness and benefits training.
We support research and contribute to policy on anti-poverty issues.
We provide practical help and support through our Advice and Information service.
We operate a Community Advice and Resource Centre where people can meet, and have access to a phone, the internet, photocopier, etc.
We support people to come together and to form groups around their own anti-poverty related issues.
We support other community groups and offer advice if requested.
We work in partnership with other organisations with similar interests, some small, some big.
and
We encourage, support and train other local people, to get involved in all of the above.

WestGAP is run almost entirely by unpaid workers and relies on the skills and commitment
of people with first hand experience of poverty to do all that we do.
We are a totally independant charitable organisation - not funded by government -
and rely on individuals, the local community, trusts and other organisations to support us financially.
You can support WestGAP’s work in a variety of ways.
Becoming a member is free, makes a statement, and allows you to find out more about the poverty issues we work on.
Or, if you have the time why not talk to us about working with WestGAP?
If you don’t have the time but have the money,
then you can support us financially by making a donation
or
by becoming one of our regular supporters through a standing order.
As the song says, "If not you - then who?"
